Home Learning Opportunities

Following our homework review last session, we will provide home learning opportunities on our website should you wish to support your child's learning at home.  We appreciate that many children engage in clubs and wider learning opportunities after school.  Home Learning suggestions shared on this page are not compulsory.  They are intended as one of many possible learning experiences beyond school.  Real-life experiences to embed learning done at school are encourages, e.g. reading labels in shops, using scan and go in supermarkets, drawing a map from home to school, etc.  In addition to the suggested activities on this page, children will bring home reading books each week.  These are different from the books used in class to teach reading skills.  Home reading books are chosen to support fluency and expression and enjoyment and choice.  All children have access to Sumdog which they can also use to reinforce learning in Numeracy and Maths should they wish to do so.

Suggested activities on this page focus on the levels/stages of school rather than specific classes or single year groups.

Early Level - may be of interest to Nursery and P1 children

First Level - may be of interest to P2-P4 children

Second Level - may be of interest to P5-P7 children

Children can choose to dip in and out of different levels and activities.
